Established in 1989, Driftwood Estate Winery is one of the Margaret River region's most iconic vineyards, known for their Single Site, Artifacts, Collection, and Oceania wines. Named one of the best wineries in the Margaret River region and received countless awards over the years.

Nestled on scenic gravelly slopes just a stone’s throw from the Indian Ocean, Driftwood Estate began as a charming country retreat before Tom and Helen Galopoulos transformed it into a renowned winery in 1989.

The estate’s location offers ideal free-draining soils and a mild maritime climate, perfect for crafting wines with character and depth. Driftwood’s journey to acclaim began with its very first wine, a Semillon in 1993, which received special commendation in a prestigious British competition.

Driftwood Estate quickly earned recognition, with top Australian wine writer James Halliday naming it "one of the best wineries in the Margaret River region" in 2009. Since then, Driftwood has received numerous awards, including a 5-Star rating in the 2018 Wine Companion, solidifying its place as one of Margaret River’s premier wineries. More recently, Driftwood received a Gold Medal at the 2022 Decanter World Wine Awards for its 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Silver Medal at the 2023 International Wine Challenge for its 2020 Chardonnay, underscoring the quality and craftsmanship of its wines.

One of the first vineyards in the area, Driftwood has dedicated years to nurturing its vines, producing premium fruit that reflects the unique qualities of the Wilyabrup sub-region. Driftwood’s winemaking philosophy centers on simplicity and quality—crafting wines that truly begin in the vineyard. With superior fruit quality from one of the world’s most exceptional viticultural regions, Driftwood wines express the pure, varietal, and regional flavors of Wilyabrup.
