Querce Bettina is one of the new brigade of Brunello producers who arrived in the zone in the 1990s. The estate is situated on the south side of the hill at a 440 metres altitude and is reasonably tiny with only 2.5 hectares under vine. Owners, Sandra Barenghi and Roberto Moretti relaesed their first Brunellowith the 2009 vintage.
In the cellar, Roberto is assisted by famed consultant Paolo Caciorgna and the wines are marked by his penchant for producing a relatively pliant and supple style. They are a welcome addition to the Brunello landscape.
