Francois Merlin Côte-Rôtie 2006

A bright, black cherry-inspired bouquet, with a little sweetness, toffee, and jam, ends nicely round. Ripe fruit on the palate, but it is guided by its northern zone origins – the result is a late display of minerals and clarity in the wine. Ends clean and clear and is a wine of character.
