The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Blagny has a more expressive nose than say, the 2014 Tessons, with touches of wild mint and broom infusing the citrus fruit, later orange cordial and just a drop of lime -- quite mercurial in the glass. The palate is taut on the entry, citric in the mouth with lemon rind and lime, nicely balanced with a spicy, lemongrass element that becomes more conspicuous towards the finish. Again, this is a very well-crafted, quite vivacious Meursault.
