Domaine Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin 'Lavaux Saint Jacques' 1er Cru 2018

A cooler and more restrained nose speaks of the essence of red cherry, black raspberry, and an abundance of Sauvage and forest floor elements. There is better volume and intensity to the bigger and more imposingly-scaled flavours that are also more obviously mineral-inflected on the dusty, grippy, and even slightly chewy finish. Patience is strongly advised.
