André Robert 'Les Vignes de Montigny' Extra Brut NV
André Robert stands as a venerable 14-hectare family estate nestled in the heart of Le Mesnil sur Ogier, within the illustrious Côte des Blancs region, with roots dating back to the early 1900s.
Distinguished by its unique approach, a judicious utilization of oak in the fermentation process imparts a profound complexity and opulence, while the deliberate inhibition of malolactic fermentation preserves the invigorating crispness inherent to exceptional Champagnes.
This Non-Vintage Champagne predominantly showcases the distinctive character of Pinot Meunier, comprising 90% of its composition. The elixir matures gracefully, spending a patient 3 to 4 years resting on its lees within the confines of bottles, awaiting its moment of perfection.
Aged on lees for 10 months in traditional vats and 65% in barrels, no malolactic fermentation and matured for 3 years. A wine of unequalled simplicity and pleasure.
Seafoods such as Shellfish, Crab and Lobster
The Champagne of André Robert has an aromatic fine stony and floral nose.
The palate is fresh. well structured and refined with aromas of almond, honey, wild strawberry, and citrus peel. This Champagne is perfectly balanced between a predominantly limestone terroir, which brings finesse and minerality, and a second clayey-sandy terroir, which brings suppleness and roundness.
