When your Bourgogne is made from vineyards in Meursault and Puligny it really does make a difference. Ballot-Millot has given a beautifully balanced wine, with a wonderful texture. Flavourful drinking beautifully now. An excellent Bourgogne with great fresh flavours, drinking beautifully now and good for a few more years.
Ripe and nicely layered aromas include those of various white orchard and citrus confit scents. There is fine density to the opulent, indeed almost thick, flavours that display excellent length for the genre on the lingering finish where the only nit is a trace of warmth. This isn’t racy but it’s impressive in its fashion.
