Amid the extensive vineyard holdings in Burgundy's Côte d’Or, the Colin family has carved out a significant presence, and within Chassagne-Montrachet, Bruno Colin has truly emerged as the vintner to watch.
Bruno's inheritance of vineyards occurred as a result of the division of his father, Michel Colin-Deléger's estate between him and his brother, Philippe, with his inaugural vintage in 2004 marking the commencement of an extraordinary journey in crafting his remarkable domaine. He meticulously vinifies his wines in both his father's picturesque, time-honored cellars at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, and in a recently constructed, state-of-the-art facility situated opposite the church.
In total, Bruno presides over 8.75 hectares of vineyards spanning Puligny-Montrachet, St-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. Nevertheless, his most prized assets lie in the exceptional quality of his eight premier cru vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet.
Bruno's meteoric success can be attributed to his remarkable knack for unveiling the distinctiveness of each vineyard, coupled with his expertise in crafting wines that are not only expressive but also deeply captivating.
Intensely perfumed bouquet with notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruit, mingled with toasted hints. On the palate, both rich and full-bodied, with lovely aromatic persistence. Good ageing potential.
