The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru En Remilly appellation is a small parcel covering 1 hectare, 56 total surface area, and is cultivated by just 6 producers. Situated on the hillside just above Chevalier-Montrachet, En Remilly connects the 3 communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin. Elegant, clean, and precise with exceptional balance. A true reflection of its terroir with mineral notes and excellent aging potential.
Cheerful light yellow with a green tint. This has a classy chiselled bouquet, making a delicious mouthful with sunny yellow fruit, much less overtly powerful than Philippe Colin’s version, but very classy and charming. The difference in style may reflect the relative positions on the slope of the two plots. A hint of sucrosity perhaps on the palate. Very good wine. Tasted: September 2020
