The Pellegrinis meticulously curate fruit from the venerable vines to craft this exceptional Riserva. Situated at a lofty elevation above the inversion layer, coupled with reflective and well-draining soils, the resulting fruit embodies concentration and aromatic finesse. Aged in Slavonian oak, the wine artfully reveals the vineyard's inherent character. Adorning the label is a reclining deer, a testament to the vineyard's rich history and the wine's remarkable cellar potential for years to come.

If the chance to drink such an exciting 2010 Brunello was a thrill, we now have the 2010 Riserva. In theory, this should be a step-up. In practice, it very much is. Dark, deep maroon colour, we have depth, intensity, and concentration. There are hints of chocolate, delicatessen meats, coffee grinds, tobacco leaves, dark berries, leather and truffles. They are mouthfilling but supple and ever-so-silky tannins, with fine acidity and stunning length. A joy now but it has a lifetime ahead. A superb Brunello by any standards. Wow!
This an exceptional Brunello with dried fruit, chocolate and berry aromas and flavors. The texture is really silky and so very attractive. Exceptional for the year. I like it better than the 2010 regular bottling.
Wild berry bouquet, nougat, and leather notes; on the palate, it is compact with robust and hearty tannins, finishing with hints of Maraschino cherries. Currently a bit closed, yet the great elegance of this wine is clearly discernible
