Nimalaya is the fruit of friendship, joint work but also the expression of a terroir year after year on a grape variety, old Carignan, sublimated by the patina of time. It is with joy and pride that we present this vintage, which carries with it the history of nearly 60 years of viticulture but also the jubilation brought by a common project, that of our lives dedicated to wine. Through this emblematic grape variety that is Carignan, we pay homage to our region, to the ancestral know-how of these men who with determination and passion shaped our cultural landscape. Small quantities available, only 3000 bottles per vintage. Nimalaya is witness to a cultural and territorial heritage married to the perseverance of men for an exceptional wine.
Our old Carignan vines are located in the communes of Montpeyroux and Saint-Saturnin. The soil there is clay-limestone. Facing due south, the vines benefit from optimal exposure allowing them to reach perfect maturity while retaining their freshness and the finesse of the tannins. Meticulously selected, the berries are harvested by hand at the beginning of October.
