Les Blanchots stands as the cherished jewel among Domaine Laroche's Grand Crus, a testament to finesse and enchantment unparalleled.

Nestled within this exceptional terroir lies a rare marvel—a tapestry of white clay draped over Kimmeridgian limestone adorned with ammonites. This unique fusion creates an optimal environment, nurturing just the right balance of moisture for the roots to thrive. Bathed in the gentle embrace of a southeastern exposure, Les Blanchots enjoys a leisurely ripening process, nurturing the gradual development of its captivating aromas.

In the glass, Blanchots reveals its essence—a delicate, silken symphony that unfolds with grace and allure. Patiently matured for five years within the sanctum of the bottle, its true charm blossoms, reaching a crescendo of perfection after a decade or more, a testament to its enduring elegance and timeless allure.

The 2021 vintage could almost be described as late as we have been used to earlier and earlier harvests in recent years.

The manual harvest started on September 21st in the parcels of Vieille Voye / Vaillons / Butteaux and Blanchots. Following episodes of rain, the sanitary pressure was present but controlled by our technical teams. In the end, the juices presented promising balanced profiles which were confirmed during the maturation. The tastings conducted in the cellars showed the finesse and the good acidity present in the wines.
