More volume here. Also more peach and grilled nectarine kind of things. There is a sweetness of fruit but it's presence is dry and there is more extract as well, which lends it an insistent, fluffy peach skin character that's tactile and adds a bit of dimension. Still long, plenty of zip and nerve, it's just a ripe and forward style. Really good and super satisfying.
2020 Mâcon-Verzé Les Chênes, Domaine Leflaive From a 3.5ha plot. No stainless steel is used for this cuvée, just concrete tanks and foudres. A fine pale primrose colour. Just a little more precision on the nose, a little more depth of fruit, less of the buttery aspect while still having a lightly salty quality running through the middle. Some elegance here and fair length.
