Description

Delight in the intricacies of this artfully crafted single-vineyard Chardonnay, originating from the heart of Sonoma, California, at an iconic site. Revered for its unblemished excellence, this bottling from our distinguished estate vineyards reveals a symphony of aromas—white peach, spiced pears, orange blossom, hazelnuts, and crushed rocks. On the palate, the dance of stone fruit, nectarine, and tangelo flavors converges into a harmonious finale, marked by a lingering, flinty, and textural finish that gracefully caresses the senses.

Derived from the Stone Côte Vineyard, nestled within the esteemed Durell Vineyard, this small vineyard block rests upon an ancient riverbed at the southern end of the Sonoma Coast AVA. Millennia-old geological forces sculpted its topography, leaving a landscape adorned with tumbled river rocks and meager topsoil. The vines, resilient and driven by scarcity, produce small clusters laden with intense varietal flavors.

In this climatic haven, characterized by cool daytime temperatures and maritime breezes, the vineyard's low-fertility soils merge with the elements, fashioning an ideal habitat for Chardonnay cultivation. The wine, echoing the vineyard's intrinsic terroir, showcases flinty aromas and a mineral-laden finish, a testament to the Stone Côte Vineyard's distinctive character.
