Le Kottabe was imagined and created by Jean MEYER in 1986. The name, from the Greek "O Kottabos", was a game of skill, mixing wine and love. It was practiced in Greece during banquets in the 5th century BC. At the same time, the verticality of the consonants recalls the slender and assertive character of this grape variety.
At the heart of our history, our family tells its story, inhabited by passion and the desire to transmit. First from father to son, then from father to daughter. Today we are two sisters, Céline and Isabelle, following in our father's footsteps.
At the heart of our vines, the forces of Life flourish. Cultivated in organic and biodynamic cultivation and certified since 2004, our vineyard consists of 90 plots located in the plain and on the slopes of the Grands Crus Hengst (marl-limestone) and Brand (granite).
Seafood, sea or freshwater fish, sushi, white meat with cream, goat's or sheep's cheese.
Dry and balanced, this Riesling opens with citrus notes.
The palate is lively with a beautiful structure and ends on a long and lemony finish.
