In 2010, Julian Haart embarked on his winemaking journey in the Mosel, marking the inception of his own vintage; however, the Haart family's winemaking legacy in Piesport traces back to an impressive 1337! Prior to this milestone, Julian apprenticed with luminaries like Egon Müller and Klaus Peter Keller, giants in the German wine scene, refining his craft alongside the nation's foremost farmers and vintners. Presently, Julian tends to 5 hectares of vineyards nestled in the Mosel's most esteemed locales: Goldtröpfchen, Ohlisberg, and Schubertslay.
For Julian and his wife, Nadine, this modest 5-hectare expanse is the perfect canvas, allowing them to meticulously manage all vineyard and cellar tasks by hand, fostering a profoundly personal connection to their craft. This hands-on approach resonates in Julian's wines, each possessing an intimate character that sets them apart. Undoubtedly, these Rieslings stand as some of the Mosel's most captivating and delectable offerings today, brimming with luscious fruit intensity and a precisely honed acidity that echoes the unmistakable terroir of the Mosel. These artisanal, limited-production treasures truly capture the essence of excellence in winemaking.
