Jumpin Juice is a collaboration between long-time friends and now Gippsland-based winemakers, Patrick Sullivan and Xavier Goodridge. Pat Sullivan made much of his reputation off the back of some wild, charismatic Pinot Noirs. Here's his latest rendition of the grape under the whimsical Jumpin Juice label.
This Jumpin Juice offering tows the line between fine wine and fun wine. It's fermented as whole berries with no adjustments save for a splash of sulphur at bottling.
It's juicy and jubey but also shows a rasp of savoury tannin that gives it a little more backbone than you might think just by looking at the bottle.
Bright and juicy lighter red wine, cherries, cranberries, white pepper, and some raspberry sorbet going on. A fine web of tannin laced through a silky but firm palate. Fresh, thirst-quenching pinot noir style.
