For more than a century and a half, the Angerer family has cultivated vineyards in Austria's picturesque Kamptal region, crafting wines steeped in tradition and excellence. However, despite their long standing legacy, little is known about these remarkable wines outside of select circles. In the mid-1990s, Kurt Angerer entertained the notion of establishing his own winery, initially drawn to the allure of Australia. Fortunately for Austria, his devotion to his family's heritage prevailed, and he chose to remain, dedicating himself to advancing the family's winemaking legacy.
This Grüner Veltliner stands as a testament to Kurt's commitment, showcasing the region's terroir with finesse and distinction. Fresh and imbued with minerality, it graces the palate with a full-bodied texture, yet maintains a pristine, crisp character, underscored by a tantalizing acidity that invigorates the senses. Embodied within each sip lies a narrative of generational expertise and a deep-rooted connection to the land, encapsulating the essence of Kamptal's wine-making tradition.
