Le Tertre du Lys d’Or is a négociant bottling, selected from a prestigious estate in Sauternes. These barrels don’t make the cut for the estate’s own wine (which sells for four figures!), but they hint at their illustrious source. Believed to be declassified from one of the most prestigious sweet wine estates on the planet, this wine is a treasure for those in the know. The 2019 vintage is hailed as one of the greatest in Bordeaux in the last decade, perhaps even surpassing 2010, 2015, and 2016. The season combined warm growing conditions with a timely rainfall, enhancing freshness and reducing yields. Botrytis arrived late, adding subtle complexity to the baked pineapple and toffee flavors. These wines are brimming with intensity.

At five years old, Le Tertre du Lys d’Or remains incredibly youthful and vibrant. Time in the cellar will allow it to develop further, gaining complexity and depth.
