This wine comes from the parcels of the Domaine Marcel Deiss located in the Ribeauvillé area (Gruenspiel, Hagueneau, Weinbaum). The limestone of the Muschelcalk, clays and quaternary intercalations (sandstone and gravel) deliver a tight dry wine, textured, of good thickness, mineral, initiating saliva palate but horizontal, massive, and very long. The suggested colours are cold, and stylized, and draw a landscape of great rigour but a deep beauty
Prawn, fresh peach and goat cheese salad with watercress
A blend of mostly Riesling and a small percentage of the Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc. Planted on essentially marl and clay soils. Riesling shines through here with white flowers, citrus, a little pear, and baking spices. There is richness yet transparency to the wine. Wonderfully expressive at this young age, the line and length here are impressive. A palpable energy. Wonderful harmony, seamless palate, long delicious. Beautiful development.
