Introducing the Palmer & Co Blanc de Blanc NV Magnum 1.5L, a sparkling wine that combines the elegance and freshness of Chardonnay grapes from Premier Crus in the Montagne de Reims with delicately fruity Chardonnays from the Côte de Sézanne. This exquisite wine offers a unique taste experience with hints of grapefruit and nashi pear, complemented by a zesty fruit focus and grainy minerality that distinguishes it from other sparkling wines.
The Palmer & Co Blanc de Blanc NV Magnum 1.5L comes in a magnum bottle size, which is equal to two regular wine bottles, making it perfect for celebrations and special occasions. The magnum bottle size offers several benefits, including slower aging, better preservation of flavours, and improved appearance. The larger size allows for slower aging, which results in a more refined taste, while the thicker glass helps preserve the wine's flavour by providing better insulation from light and temperature fluctuations. Additionally, the magnum bottle's impressive size and appearance make it an ideal centrepiece for any festive gathering.
In summary, the Palmer & Co Blanc de Blanc NV Magnum 1.5L is a luxurious sparkling wine that combines the best of Chardonnay grapes from different regions in France. Its unique taste, coupled with the benefits of the magnum bottle size, makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a memorable and elegant wine experience.
Tasted from magnum, the latest release of Palmer's NV Blanc de Blancs Brut is showing very well indeed, bursting from the glass with a ripe and expressive bouquet of grapefruit, orange zest, toasted bread, white flowers, and nectarines. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with an elegantly textural attack, fine depth at the core, ripe but racy acids, and a long, flavourful finish. This has always been one of Palmer's emblematic Cuvees and this disgorgement from early 2018 would appear to be a particular success." - William Kelley (Aug 2019)
"Alluring, toasty, reductive character with lemon-peel and nectarine aromas. The palate has a bold, fleshy serving of ripe, yellow peaches with handy freshness. Drink or hold." (Sep 2018)
