Pierre-Yves Colin has once again produced a highly promising vintage in 2020. This year's wines exude a captivating charm and expressiveness, setting them apart from the more serious and structured 2019 vintage, which we recently revisited in bottle and discovered to possess significant potential for aging. Colin employs a distinct approach for his different cuvées, with the larger ones undergoing a four-hour press cycle after crushing, while the smaller ones experience an even longer press cycle lasting five hours or more without crushing. The wines are then carefully vinified and matured in barrels, with a strong preference for larger-format barrels throughout the process.
