Matured separately in 53% new French oak and 21% new American oak and the balance in used oak for 19 months.
The nose promises classic Barossa Shiraz, with a heady and a complex mix of dark fruits and spice mingling with toasted cedar aromas which unfold over time in the glass.
Elegant fine tannins are felt across the palate and the subtle oak influence yields cedar and soft charry notes on the finish. This wine is beautifully balanced, with excellent structure and length typifying the St Hugo Heritage of power and elegance.
