Bottle 1: Te Mata Estate Coleraine Red 2018 (Hawkes Bay, New Zealand - 97 Points)

Exquisite perfume over purple silk sheets of dense tannin. Roll in them. Luxuriate in the quality on offer here, now, and for decades to come. Black fruit, raspberry coulis, sweet rolling tobacco, hazelnut, roses, nutmeg and paprika.

Bottle 2: Te Mata Estate Coleraine Red 2019(Hawkes Bay, New Zealand -100 Points)

Cherry, ripe raspberry, dried roses and tobacco, cocoa and baking spices, a wee bit of menthol. It’s medium-bodied, taut and tightly strung with ‘mineral’ feeling cranberry acidity, sheets of slate-like tannin, a superb waft of mouth perfume, and a firm finish of impeccable length.

Bottle 3: Te Mata Estate Coleraine Red 2022(Hawkes Bay, New Zealand - 99 Points)

Originally a single vineyard designation until 1989, Coleraine now epitomizes a blend crafted from the most exceptional wines cultivated across specific plots within Te Mata Estate's historic Havelock Hills vineyards, first established in 1892.
