Description

The 2021 Tyrrell's Wines Four Acres Shiraz is a remarkable wine that showcases the terroir of Hunter Valley's Four Acres vineyard. The flavours of dark fruit dominate, with a touch of spice and a hint of chocolate on the finish. The wine's acidity is well-balanced, adding a refreshing lift to the full-bodied palate. This is a wine of exceptional depth and complexity, with a long, lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression of its impeccable quality. It is a wine that can be enjoyed now but will also age gracefully over the next decade or more.

Review

Very attractive blueberry, bracken and red-plum aromas with cassis and violets. Some rose, red-cherry and fresh, earthy notes. The palate has an immaculately concentrated feel with measured shape and unwaveringly pure red-plum and blueberry flavors. The tannins are seamless, fine and vividly defined. Stunning length here. This vineyard was planted in 1879.
