Francois Raveneau Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru 2009

The ripe dried yellow orchard fruit and iodine aromas are knocking on the door of full maturity and will likely go secondary soon. There is excellent richness and power to the medium-bodied and minerally flavours that are not exactly classic but certainly more so than many examples of 2009 Chablis today. For my taste, this has arrived at its peak and would probably best be drunk over the next 5 years or so as it risks becoming heavy if held for the longer term. Tasted several times with consistent notes.
