Francois Raveneau Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru 2010
This beauty is coming along very nicely and while it hasn't completely peaked, it's not so far away that it couldn't be enjoyed now if that's your preference. A notably ripe yet airy, cool and elegant nose offers up maturing notes of oyster shell, dried flowers and spice hints along with a hint of petrol. The equally fresh, pure and beautifully well-detailed medium-bodied flavours possess excellent intensity and plenty of verve on the racy, complex and solidly persistent finish. I very much like the delivery and this succulent effort is a bit finer than it usually is. I would offer one other observation and that is that the complexity seems to still be increasing and if this can add just a bit more overall depth, I could easily see my rating rise with it.
