Domaine Armand Rousseau Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2013

This has that interesting just-turned earth, forest floor and humus character that some Gevrey-based wines display that adds plenty of breadth to the very fresh red currant and dark berry suffused nose. There is fine richness and volume to the delicious, intense and muscular broad-shouldered flavours that possess very fine depth on the balanced and lingering finish where the supporting tannins are dense but fine. This is better than it usually is and this is one of the wines in the Rousseau stable that has shown marked improvement over the last few vintages.
