Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru 2013

The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses has a perfumed bouquet with heightened floral notes: impressive delineation with the red fruit usurped by black with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin and acidity that is perhaps singing from a different hymn book. There is body and volume here, though it is missing a little persistence on the finish, and runs out the back door before you have really got acquainted. Afford these 4 - 5 years to fully coalesce and I am sure it will merit a higher score.
