A discreet application of wood sets off the wonderfully spicy, floral, plum and black cherry aromas that are quite ripe yet manage to retain a beguiling freshness. There is fine volume to the equally mineral-driven medium-bodied flavours that despite being exceptionally rich display fine delineation on the impressively persistent finale where the only nit is a touch of backend warmth. This too should be approachable after only a few years.
