Mongeard-Mugneret Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru 2015

A restrained yet still attractively spicy nose combines notes of violet, dark cherry liqueur, violet and discreet wood toast aromas. Here too there is impressively good underlying material to the rich and full-bodied flavours that possess both excellent power and punch while delivering excellent length on the balanced if very firmly structured finale. This is a classic Boudots that in 2015 is more Nuits than Vosne.
