The 2016 Mâcon-Verzé offers up notes of green orchard fruit, pastry cream, dried white flowers and honeycomb, framed by subtle reduction that dissipates in the glass. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, bright and tangy, with a delicately glossy attack, moderate depth at the core and a pure, saline finish. It doesn't match the concentration of the 2015 rendition, but it's both more vibrant and more approachable. This Mâcon-Verzé was vinified and matured in stainless steel for some 15 months before bottling under Diam.
