Babich is a 100-year-old family-owned wine business operating in New Zealand. CEO David, along with Executive Directors Peter and Joe, are the gems of the Babich family, having a combined experience of more than 146 years in the wine industry. It is this experience along with passion coming from their team, that puts Babich Wines in the topmost league. Currently, Babich sells wine under various ranges named Classics, Black Label, Irongate, Winemaker's Reserve, Family Estates, The Patriarch, Babich 100 Years, and Forbidden Vines.

Mainly grown in Austria, Grüner Veltliner is an exciting food-friendly dry white wine. It is characterised by spicy and slightly exotic flavours of lime, grapefruit, white pepper, and a crisp minerality. The name translates to “Green Wine of Veltlin”, with Veltlin being an area in Northern Italy during Roman times.

White musk, laced with pepper over slate and Kawakawa leaf.

palate

Well weighted and tightly structured with baked apple notes, a ton of spice and a definite mineral note. Finish is fresh, lingering and dry.
