Bernhard Huber Malterdinger Pinot Noir 2021
The grapes are hand harvested with careful selection. Vinification follows traditional methods, including malolactic fermentation, and the wine is aged in a combination of first, second, and third-fill barriques for a total of 14 months. Notably, the wine is bottled without filtration, preserving its authentic character.
This spätburgunder is recognised for its elegance and complexity. There are subtle nuances, and the unfiltered bottle approach contributes to a rich and authentic expression of the terroir.
Ossobuco, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
Flowers, fine red cherry and pale wild strawberries define this elegant, red fruited Pinot.
On the palate it's all purity, restrained, rose hip infused red fruit allied to classical Huber energy. Fine boned, fresh, exceptionally pure and no hint of oak.... this is extremely well made and both refreshing and satisfying.
