Description

Experience the essence of Tasmania's winemaking heritage with Bream Creek, a pristine 7.5-hectare vineyard nestled in Marion Bay. With roots dating back to 1973, it stands as one of the island's oldest commercial vineyards, a testament to its enduring legacy.

Marion Bay's history traces back to 1642, marked by Abel Tasman's historic expedition, and today, Fred Peacock continues this legacy with a vision that embraces innovation and tradition. Expanding Pinot Noir plantings, introducing Sauvignon Blanc, and pioneering Schönburger in the southern hemisphere, Peacock's dedication has elevated Bream Creek to new heights.

Crafted with a philosophy that prioritizes fruit quality, our wine captivates with vibrant aromas of tropical fruits, complemented by delicate hints of snow pea and lime zest. On the palate, indulge in the luscious interplay of bold fruit flavors, enriched by velvety textures and Tasmania's signature pure acidity.

Embrace culinary exploration by pairing a glass or two with a spicy chicken and snow pea salad, daring to elevate your lunchtime experience with a touch of chili. Bream Creek invites you to savor the taste of Tasmania's terroir in every sip, a celebration of tradition, innovation, and exceptional quality.

Fresh green garden herbs and nettles, hints of citrus. The wine has richness and softness, flavour and subtlety, the finish soft and balanced. Very good fruit flavour and depth.

Review

An impressive, concentrated sauvignon blanc from Tasmania's East Coast. Aromas of ruby red grapefruit, passionfruit puree, citrus and melon with whiffs of crushed stone, gooseberry, ozone and white flowers. It's not an in-your-face style; there's more to it than just aromatic clout. There is some nice fruit density and texture within the glass here. Finishes dry, long and refreshing
