Description

Nestled in the Mount Lofty Ranges to the east of Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills stands as one of Australia's largest and most geographically diverse wine regions. Its expansive range of altitudes, climates, and soils intricately contributes to the creation of its distinct cool climate wines.

The year 2023 marked a cool and delayed vintage for the Adelaide Hills, characterized by inconsistent weather throughout. This led to extended, cool ripening conditions and a harvest that unfolded later than the region's typical schedule. Despite below-average yields, the slow ripening process carried into Autumn, ensuring the preservation of the high-quality wines for which the area is renowned.

For the Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, the harvest involved the early morning machine picking of the fruit. Subsequently, the grapes were gently crushed and pressed to preserve the fresh and vibrant flavors. The clarified juice underwent fermentation with two aromatic yeast strains, enhancing the distinctive varietal characteristics of Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc.

The resulting wine is a fresh and floral Sauvignon Blanc, presenting a zesty nose of passionfruit and grapefruit. The mid-palate reveals a delightful texture of citrus pith, culminating in a long, crisp finish. Ideal as a refreshing starter for sunny gatherings with friends, this wine pairs seamlessly with your favorite seafood dish.

"The first session of a test match was extra special to me. A chance to pull on the baggy green with ten of my mates and come together as one." - Ricky Ponting

"Fresh, bright and aromatic, a perfect starter for a drink in the sun with friends." - Ben Riggs

Fabulously expressed on the nose showing green rockmelon, kaffir lime, crunchy apple and nectarine notes, followed by a wonderfully flavoursome palate offering excellent fruit purity and persistency. Upfront and delectably appealing.
