Château de Campuget 1753 Grenache 2016
The Castle of Campuget is above all the adventure of a family from the North came to settle during the war not far from the Mediterranean… in Costières de Nîmes.
Since 1942 a single goal has driven us to produce Great Wines from the Rhône Valley while respecting our terroir and our identity. The rolled pebbles of the Rhône, the southern sun, the Mistral, the Syrah, the Grenache are some fundamental elements that make up Campuget’s identity.
A sulfite-free range is like working without a safety net. It means working with rigor and precision. Without sulfites, you discover the grape in a very pure expression. On the nose, you encounter the freshly cut rose, before diving into the palate with gentle spices. Freshness, finesse, and delicacy are the words that best describe this Grenache. Grape variety : Essentially our most beautiful grenaches.
Vinification : This wine is produced in a traditional way and without sulfites. The extraction is gentle in order to preserve all the complexity of this grape variety.
This wine will go well with meats such as veal or lamb. And why not some red snappers fillets ?
This wine is of a beautiful complexity. The dress is deep ruby. The nose is on red fruit (cherry) mixed with spicy notes.
In the mouth, the tannins are tender and supple, marked by finesse and elegance.
