Franck's familial roots in the Aloxe-Corton region run deep, with ancestral vineyards that were regrettably divested towards the close of the 19th century. His connection to this picturesque village was fostered during childhood holidays, where he passionately toiled part-time in the sun-kissed vineyards. Fate wove its intricate threads as Franck found love with a local maiden, Christine, whose family, fortuitously, possessed their own vine plots – a gift of destiny that enabled Franck to embark on his vintner journey in 1993. With time, he expanded his holdings through judicious rental agreements. In 2017, Franck's legacy was further enriched as his son, Simon, joined him at the Domaine.

Franck, a steward of nature, ardently champions the purest and most natural farming practices. His meticulous approach begins with the gentle destemming of grapes, followed by an intimate vinification process within wooden vats, where the alchemy unfolds over a span of approximately two weeks. The wines then embark on an 18-month maturation journey within oak barrels, initially caressed by the embrace of 20 to 25 percent new wood, before transitioning into the comforting arms of older casks after 12 months.

Nestled within the heart of Aloxe-Corton, the vineyard known as "Les Meix" (.95Ha) boasts a storied past, once being in the possession of the Chapter of AUTUN, thus lending its name. Enclosed by ancient walls, this terroir, rich with stony soils, imparts remarkable precocity and splendid maturity to the grapes it nurtures. The wines born from this exceptional plot consistently embody harmony and elegance, gracefully balancing their youthful appeal (best enjoyed between 3-4 years) with the potential for remarkable evolution (showing magnificence at 10-15 years of age).
