Old vine with low yields, planted in the lower part of the mountain of Corton, facing due east, it is one of the best Grands Crus on the hillside. The wines are superb, combining the strength and power of the great Cortons with finesse and elegance: the perfect example of the red Grands Crus of Burgundy (Keep 5-15 years)
This is aromatically similar to the straight Corton though the equally large-scaled flavors are slightly finer though the impressively persistent finish is even more structured while displaying notably better balance at least for now. (Drink starting 2035)
