Aged for eight years and sealed with a traditional agrafe, the Blanc des Blancs is creamy and mineral. Chardonnay grapes from 90-year-old Grand Cru vieilles vignes, including vines that dates back to 1926, then leave them in oak barrels for seven months, blending the best of 2008, 2009 & 2012 harvests from their Côte des Blancs vineyards. Base wine is 2016.
Blanc de Blancs from Grand Cru vineyard of the presti- gious Côte des Blancs. 100% Chardonnay from Cramant, Avize and Oger.
A bright golden colour. Wonderful Champagne with reverberant character with aroma reminiscent of balmy spices, vanilla, Brioche, nuts and dried yellow stone fruits. Hints of candied lemon zest in the background. On the palate well balanced with intense flavour reminiscent of mild spices, Brioche and yellow stone fruit, hints of honey and roasted almonds in the background. Truly a Grand Cru quality with aromatic depth and length "blending" freshness and maturity.
Bright gold. Very fine bead. Particularly arresting bready nose. The Chardonnay tension is evident only on the very end of a delicate, creamy palate. Hint of putty. Really very good indeed.
