Rosé wine LA TONNELLE IGP is produced from traditional regional grapes, including Syrah, a red grape variety, which gives the wine its structure, its colour, and its aromas of red berries, with a scent of violets. The vineyards of this winery are planted mainly on very dry slopes of Jean Giono in Provence. Viticulture is very respectful of the environment in the region and the wines benefit from modern winemaking technology. Wine production in the Alpes de Haute Provence takes place between Durance to Verdon. Some winemakers are producing wines under local AOP, others under the name of IGP country wine. Like the other wines classified as IGP country wines, rosé wine LA TONNELLE must meet strict specifications: the wines must first be originated from a plot located on the departments of Alpes de Haute Provence, and its production must meet a maximum yield of 90 hectoliters per hectare.
