It bridges the gap between the regional Yarra Valley wines and his Single Vineyard expressions, and wonderfully highlights the sub-regional differences of the Yarra. For both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the wines from Woori Yallock almost always top our Mac Forbes tastings. This outstanding Chardonnay release is both tense and plush, with intense citrus and spice flavours, a deep fruit core, and a fine minerality that guides a long, powerful finish. Classy, concentrated Chardonnay does not have to be big and buttery, and this is proof positive.. Loved it.
De-stemmed and crushed before pressing, nine months maturation in old oak.
Mushrooms
The undulating hills provide protection from the drier winds, the rainfall is slightly higher and the perfume, weight and structure appears mored dense and effortless, pulling through seamlessly to the back palate.
