Podere La Cappella Chianti Classico Riserva ‘Querciolo’ DOCG 2021
Podere La Cappella is an organic estate in San Donato in Poggio in the commune of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, now called Barberino Tavarnelle in Tuscany, Italy. It makes Chianti Classico DOCG red wines, plus a Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC. In the estate’s park there is the small church of Santa Maria a Cerbaia, mentioned for the first time in 1043. This contains a painting of the Madonna and child dating back (it is thought) to the end of the 13th century.
Natural cork.
Classic Italian dishes such as pasta with tomato-based sauces, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
Expressive aromas of spiced cherries, red licorice, chocolate, savory herbs, and pomegranate, accompanied by subtle notes of wet stones and bark.
Medium-bodied and structured, this wine offers a focused palate with crunchy tannins. It is characterized by its juicy and vivid qualities, underscored by a mineral backbone, making it an enticing and well-balanced choice.
