Description

Rippon is a distinct parcel of land overlooking the Southern Alps on the western shores of Lake Wānaka.
The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, and the land has been cared for by our family for four generations.
Our wines are a true reflection of this piece of land.

Review

Oof. Lots on here. No prisoners in the perfume. Wasabi peas, jalapeno, lime, passionfruit – palalte and perfume. Flavoursome beasty! It’s got so much going on, crazy. Texture is great, chewy and chalky, races along at pace with refreshment factor on high. Quite an experience – an elevated example!

Tasting Profile

Nose
Bright pale straw colour with a watery hue. Pungent unripe passionfruit and grapefruit scents mix with distinct grassy asparagus notes.
Palate
Intense herbaceous gooseberry, lemon and grapefruit flavours sit over a grassy asparagus, lime and fresh capsicum back drop. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a long zesty aftertaste that has a distinct grassiness to it.
