Meet The Philip Adrian, the crown jewel in Singlefile’s collection, meticulously crafted to uphold the highest standards, ensuring only the finest fruit and barrels make the cut. With meticulous care, only 98 cases of The Philip Adrian were produced in 2012, a testament to its exclusivity, reserved solely for the most exceptional vintages.
The wine is 100% cabernet sauvignon (Houghton clones), the fruit picked and sorted on 29th March 2012. It was cold soaked in a small fermenter for ten days before undergoing an extended and gentle maceration. Sixty percent of the wine was matured in new Bordeaux oak barriques. The balance went to one year old (30%) and two year old (10%) Bordeaux barriques for fifteen months. The wine was then bottle aged for a further twelve months before release.
