Introducing Yarra Yering's Signature Shiraz: a distinguished expression of the renowned Yarra Valley terroir, meticulously crafted to captivate the senses and elevate the art of winemaking. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Victoria, Australia, our vineyards boast a rich heritage dating back to the original plantings of Shiraz in 1969, with subsequent additions in the 1990s, alongside the infusion of Mataro and Viognier vines planted from 1984 to 1995.

Hand-picked with precision, each grape undergoes a journey of careful selection, crossing a sorting table before being gently destemmed directly into our iconic half-tonne open-fermenters. Here, we strive to retain as many whole berries as possible, preserving their essence to enrich the wine's aromatic profile. A touch of complexity is introduced with the addition of frozen Viognier skins to select fermenters, infusing the blend with subtle floral notes.

Aged to perfection for 15 months in French oak barriques, with a judicious 30% of new oak, our Shiraz matures gracefully, allowing its multifaceted character to flourish before blending and bottling.

Upon uncorking, our Signature Shiraz unveils a symphony of aromas, with notes of violets, plums, and savory spices intertwining with hints of bramble and five spice. On the palate, the wine reveals its complexity, offering a medley of summer pudding fruits in vibrant hues, enhanced by nuances of cigar box and cardamom spice that intrigue the senses.
