A harmonious composition of 65% Semillon and 35% Chardonnay, this white blend emanates pure elegance.
Origins: The grapes for this exquisite wine were meticulously sourced from a dry-grown plot located to the south of Underhill Vineyard, at a slightly elevated altitude. A nod to Bordeaux's tradition, this white blend is primarily crafted from 65% Semillon and gracefully complemented by 35% Chardonnay.
Vintage of 2019: Marked by a dry winter followed by a late spring with generous rainfall, which proved instrumental in fostering robust canopy growth and ensuring commendable yields. The heat of January did pose a challenge, leading to some sunburnt fruit. However, an early commencement to the harvest season under mild conditions facilitated a relatively swift maturation of the grapes.
Tasting Notes: Unveiling layers of flavor, including the zesty essence of lime juice, the delicate allure of green apple peel, and subtle undertones of white blossoms. The Semillon grapes contribute a vivid green apple crispness and tangy lime citrus, while the Chardonnay varietal adds a touch of stonefruit opulence along with a velvety texture fostered by maturation in neutral oak barrels. Ultimately, the lively lime acidity takes command, driving a lingering and captivating finish on the palate.
