So pure and fresh, but with a depth of fruit, and of particular note, are the sheets of tightly knit tannin that drive the wine from front to back with such precision. Red fruit, roses, a little mint, hazelnut/almond and new leather. Very long, with an inner-perfume trailing, and iron/mineral thing, along with those magnificent tannins. It’s a wine for later, rather than now, though, of course, I’d more than happily work through a bottle without appropriate age. And tannin is good for you.
