Francois Raveneau Chablis A.C. 2017

An admirably subtle application of wood sets off iodine-inflected aromas of pear, apple and soft citrus scents. The sleek yet generously proportioned medium-weight flavours retain a reasonably good sense of underlying tension on the nicely detailed, clean, moderately dry and once again, saline finish. This will need to add a bit of depth but the underlying material appears to be present for that to occur.
