The Chenevottes Premier Cru soil is located on the slope approaching Saint Aubin, just south of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, with more clay on the surface but hard rock underneath which produces a "mineral" wine in aromas and flavor, fruity and delicate. Bruno makes elegant yet powerful wines at a premium level. Do you have a favorite vineyard in Chassagne Montrachet? There is a good chance that Bruno has a plot in that and lets you experience the best expression of that terroir in your glass.
A discreet though perceptible dollop of wood sets off the ripe and vaguely exotic aromas of passion fruit and white peach where background floral hints add a touch of elegance. The delicious, intense and solidly concentrated middle weight flavors possess an abundance of sappy dry extract that easily buffers the moderately firm acid spine shaping the sneaky long and very dry finish. This too would benefit from at least a few years of forbearance.
